60-Minute Webinar with Q&A
A survey released this year revealed that recent college graduates are experiencing substantial levels of burnout and mental health issues. Many young professionals also reported that they don't feel their college prepared them for the mental and emotional impact of transitioning to the workplace.
This webinar will examine the role of higher education in preparing students emotionally for the transition to career and the demands and culture of the workplace. What are the steps that we can take while students are enrolled in our institutions that will set them up for success in their work and lives post-graduation? What is the role of career choice in the conversation about post-graduate wellbeing? Additionally, the webinar will explore ideas for a more robust relationship between divisions overseeing student mental health support and workforce and careers on campus.
This live web event is a partnership between the Mary Christie Institute, the Healthy Minds Network, the American Association for Colleges and Universities (AACU), and the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE).
An overview of the findings of the Young Professionals Mental Health and Wellbeing Survey will be presented by Sarah K. Lipson, PhD, EdM, Principal Investigator of the Healthy Minds Network and Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Law Policy and Management at the Boston University School of Public Health.
The survey presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the following speakers:
